Primary School
The school site has been handed over to the Department of Education with early construction having commenced onsite. The school construction is due for completion late 2027, for opening of school year 2028.

Sports & Recreation Precinct
Construction of the sportsground and car park will take place from June 2026 – March 2027*.
We’re pleased to share that a landscape contractor has now been appointed and they have started to screen and prepare the sportsground topsoil for use.
Once delivered by Intrapac Property, the sportsgrounds will offer a range of new facilities for the community, including:
- Multi-purpose fields for Australian rules football, rugby league, soccer and cricket
- A future community clubhouse
- Outdoor exercise zones and spaces for group fitness, yoga and wellness activities
- Shared car parking
- Lights for nighttime sports

Village Centre Planning Progress
Planning for the future Whiterock Village Centre is continuing, with the project team currently progressing through the development approval process and detailed design.
Located at the heart of the community, the Village Centre is planned to become a convenient local destination where residents can access everyday services, meet with friends and enjoy more of what they need close to home. It will complement Whiterock’s growing network of community infrastructure, including the Adventure Playground, Community House, future sports grounds and planned primary school.
The detailed design process is helping to shape the layout, built form, landscaping, pedestrian connections and public spaces within the centre. This work also considers how the Village Centre will connect with surrounding neighbourhoods and create a welcoming, accessible environment for residents and visitors.
While the final mix of businesses and services will be confirmed as planning progresses, the Village Centre is intended to support a range of local shopping, dining and everyday convenience needs. The vision is to create an active community hub that contributes to the character of Whiterock and supports the community as it continues to grow.
Development approvals and detailed design involve consultation with the relevant authorities, technical specialists and future service providers. These processes are important in ensuring the Village Centre can be delivered thoughtfully and in line with the broader masterplan.
